21st Birthday Makeup🥂

Hello again lovelies,

I have been taking a mini break for a week or so as on the 6th March it was my 21st birthday. I wanted to make it a special celebration so I decided to do some dramatic makeup, especially on the eye, to share with you all.

Here is the fun part of doing my makeup everyday. I love creating quite out their looks so I thought I’d go very out of my comfort zone for my 21st. I decided to use two very loved palettes that I have recently purchased. You will find them in my previous post if you click here.

The palettes are both from Makeup Revolution and they were the Re-loaded Iconic Vitality Palette and the Love Conquers All Palette.

The first thing I did was prime my lids with the L’Oreal Eye Primer. Once that had sunk into my lid, I took this nude shade, from the Vitality palette, on a NYX fluffy brush and buffed it into my crease as a transition shade.
I then took another fluffy brush from NYX and took this more orangy nude shade and buffed that in to the outer crease to really ombre out the look so it looks completely blended. I like to do this when I am going to use vibrant colours as they can look super harsh in photos like you haven’t blended it at all.
Next I took the same fluffy brush I used with the orangy shade and I took both of these red shades (they look more vibrant in person) and tried to focus it on the very corner to give my eye some dimension. After applying the vibrant shades I took the very first brush I used with the nude shade and I made sure everything was blended smoothly with no harsh lines.
At this point I knew I wanted to do a half cut crease so I took my beloved Collection concealer and carved out the first half of the lid. I then took this beautiful shimmery white shade and a little bit of the highlighter from the middle, onto a flat Lottie London brush and went to town with packing it on. I packed so much on because I wanted it to be blinding. You know I love sparkles.

Thank you for reading and I will see you again soon.

4 Eyeshadow Palettes for £12

This post isn’t the one I was going to post next. I just couldn’t contain myself after coming off of the Superdrug website so I jumped straight onto my blog to tell you about an amazing deal I managed to get. As you can probably tell by the title I managed to get my hands on 4 EYESHADOW PALETTES FOR £12! Superdrug have always been amazing for promotions and the one that caught my attention was that if you spend £12 on Makeup Revolution products, you get the Love Conquers All palette for free.

I was determined to get the most out of this promotion as I love their eyeshadow palettes. So I went onto the eyeshadow palette section and selected it to be sorted by price from lowest to highest. I managed to find 3 decent sized palettes all £4 each which made up the total and I got the 4th palette free.

These were the palettes I chose:

Makeup Revolution Re-Loaded Palette Newtrals 2

Makeup Revolution Re-Loaded Palette Iconic Vitality

Absolute bargain! I am so pleased with what I have purchased.

Valentines Makeup and Outfit 🌹

It’s that time of year again. It’s Valentines day. Personally I am not a fan of Valentines day but I think I have managed to create a makeup look/outfit that could be for a night out for all you lovers or for those single independent women. I will give you a run down of all of the products I used to create this makeup look and the outfit I am wearing. If I cannot find the original item I will try to find something similar.

💟 Makeup 💟

Foundation: Bourjois Healthy Mix

Concealer: Maybelline Age Rewind Eye Concealer + Collection Lasting Perfection

Bronzer: NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette

Powder: Rimmel Insta Fix Matte Powder

Blush: Nip + Fab Make Up Blusher Palette

Highlight: KIKO Milano Arctic Holiday Holographic Highlighter (Starry Gold)

Brows: Freedom Dip Brow Pomade + NYX Micro Brow Pencil

Eyeliner: Rimmel Scandaleyes Micro Precision Eye Liner

Mascara: Benefit Bad Gal Bang

Lipstick: MAC Cosmetics Pro Lipstick (Red Rock)

I used 2 palettes for this eyeshadow look. I used the Soph x Makeup Revolution Palette and The Balm Nude Dude Palette.

The first thing I did was put some of my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer on my lids as a base/primer as I personally do not use eyeshadow primers. I then took this light nude shade from my Soph x Makeup Revolution palette, on a flat Real Techniques brush to set it in place.
Secondly I used one of my NYX fluffy brush and took a mixture of these 3 shades but mainly focusing on the two on the right hand side. I took these shades through my crease, focusing on making a V shape in the outer side.
I decided I was going to do a cut crease so I went back in with the concealer and carved out my lid. Next moved onto my The Balm palette which I took a slightly thicker but still flat brush from the brand Royal and Langnickel and I packed lots of the shade Fit onto my lid over the concealer. After that I went in with a light dusting of fabulous over the top to make it brighter.

For outfit I wanted something smart but casual but also a bit dressy so that you could wear it out for a romantic meal or just out with your friends.

I went for some very “out their” shoes. I am a bit in love with these sparkly silver shoes from New Look. These are also still on the website in the sale (which is amazing!)

I kept with the valentines theme and went with a red fitted thin jumper with criss cross front and this was from H&M. I couldn’t find the original garment on the website however they do have a couple of other red jumpers with a similar vibe.

For trousers I went with some simple viscose leggings from Dorothy Perkins which are still on the website if you want to purchase them.

Updated Every Day Makeup Look 💋

I though it was about time I did an updated every day makeup look as the last one I did was back in May last year. Most of the products I use have changed now. I will talk about the differences in the products I use now compared to the ones I used before. Anything I don’t compare just means I am using the same product as last time.

Foundation: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation £9.99

*This was a product I changed as I was using one by Charlotte Tilbury which was £30 and I didn’t want to keep spending that much every time I needed a new foundation. As much as I loved the foundation and would buy it again if I could spare the money every time. I went in search of a drug store, affordable dupe for it and I found this one from Bourjois which is a third of the price*

Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer £3.99

Powder: Rimmel Insta Fix & Matte Powder £4.99

*Don’t get me wrong, you know I adore NYX products, but I come from a small town where our Boots is small and doesn’t stock NYX products. I know I could buy it off the website but I work all day and would miss the parcel and if I need it for the next day then I couldn’t and I would be an oily mess. So I picked this one up as a quick dupe*

Bronzer: Benefit Hoola Bronzer £20

*I used to use my holy grail L’Oreal La Terra Bronzer, which I still switch between but I reach more for my Benefit one as it is also the perfect shade to contour my cheek bones with*

Brows: Zoeva Graphic Brows Pencil £7.50 + Freedom Dip Brow Pomade £5

*I am still using the Zoeva Brow pencil, mainly for the spooly at the end but I switched back to my Freedom Dip Brow as I find my brows look more natural with this product*

Mascara: Benefit Bad Gal Lash £18.50

*I used to use the amazing Miss Baby Roll mascara but I felt it was a bit too heavy for every day quick makeup. The Benefit one gives you natural looking lashes, perfect for the day. Also doesn’t transfer at all through out the day*

Highlight: I Heart Makeup (Goddess of Love) £4.99

*BEST HIGHLIGHT I HAVE EVER USED AND FOR THE BEST PRICE! My Jouer one which was incredibly expensive for the size of it, shattered. I hadn’t dropped it or anything. As soon as the weather got colder it shattered like ice which is totally ironic as that was the shade I had*

Blush: Benefit Rockateur Blush £24.50

Lipstick: Disney Cinderella Lipsticks by MAC (Royal Ball) £16 or just a simple lip balm by Nivea £1
